W7AX thanks for the template and I used it on a piece of 4" memory foam I had. With a little wiggling they went in from the bottom without a hitch. Now I'm wondering how well the memory foam will hold up. Oh well, I can get some other foam if this dosen't work.

I had a memory foam sample and desided to put it to use as an applicator for RainX for the windshield. Memory foam does not like RainX!!!!It melted.

The stock (and many aftermarket) windshield does not like RainX! It will ruin it!

Tunnel fillers? I wouldn't leave home without them. I made mine out of 4" furniture foam. Use momma's electric knife, just don't tell her.

I installed mine, they work great up too about 100mph. I've run mine up to 120ish a few times and the filters blow through.

Well it seems that using "memory foam" isn't the best option. It has a tendency to "wad up" when the forks turn and dosen't return to the original placment. It kind of wads up in there. Ok, looking for a different foam. Maybe use some furniture foam as others have suggested.

There are lots of kinds of foam out there. What you want is a 'closed cell' foam. Ask at an upholstery shop for it. They likely will give you enough to do the tunnel filters as pieces that small are scraps to them. It ought to be about 4" thick. The reason for closed cell foam is that all other types will soak up and hold water. You don't need that

I got a pair for Christmas and they are great. A buddy of mine made them of memory foam and now he has a place to put his wine glass while going down the road.

, been 3 days now and no telling where it ended up(floating around Corpus somewhere). Someone probable thinking what the heck is this...lol, oh well will have to make another...

Getting the right one in was easy, the left took 30 minutes to get it right, if there is a right for these things.

An electric knife works great for cutting the foam.

The DLP site doesn't hide a thing, look on the right side of the page, right there on their home page:
http://www.directlineparts.com/store.asp?str=4 If that is not clear enough for you, then you can read the fine details here: http://www.directlineparts.com/company.asp?str=4 Direct Line Parts Shipping Information: Direct Line Parts offers FREE SHIPPING on all our products. All orders that total under $199 will be charged a $7.50 handling fee. Our Orders are shipped via FedEx, UPS, and US Mail. Only one handling fee will be charged per order. Handling fees are non-refundable. Direct Line Parts does offer expedited shipping at an additional charge. If your part is needed under a time deadline please call our office to place your order to make sure we get it to you to meet your needs. I bet it costs more than $7.50 to ship a battery. I bet it costs a lot more to ship a lot of items that are less than $199.00 or combination of items. In this case I'm not defending just HDL/DLP, I'm proposing personal responsibility to become an informed shopper.
