Default How to make a VERY COOL quick disconnect for the Zumo 550

Thanks to 08titwing for finding this. This is a VERY interesting design and the instructions are very detailed.

Keep in mind this does NOT cover instructions if you also use the Bluetooth feature with either a Kennedy CellSet or a MicSplitter from EdSets. However, if you only use the Audio out, this would work very well.

Some of you might say you can just unplug the power and audio plug then take everything with you and that is true. The point of this is that you're down to a single connection. It's a interesting and thoughtful design.

If you needed to include the microphone connection as well, just increase the number of conductors in the plug.

An additional advantage is this method allows you to take XM with you to the car or other vehicle, something just using the cradle mount wouldn't let you do. Thanks for the link.
